Cookie Policy — Barcelona Luxury Car Rental

Cookies are small text files that a website can place on a visitor's device to recognise the browser on later visits. Local storage and session storage are similar technologies built into modern browsers: they let a site keep a small piece of information on the visitor's own device instead of sending a cookie back and forth with every request.

We use the term "storage" below to cover all of these, because that is what actually happens on barcelonaluxurycarrental.es.

barcelonaluxurycarrental.es does not set any cookies of its own, and we do not install any third-party analytics, advertising or social-media trackers.

To understand how the site is used, we run our own visit-measurement script, served from our own domain, which records:

• pages viewed and time spent on each page
• the referring website and any campaign parameters in the link (UTM or ad click id)
• device type, browser, operating system, screen size and browser language
• the country derived from the IP address; the IP address itself is not stored

When a visitor sends an enquiry or taps a WhatsApp or phone link, that action is linked to the same visit so we know which channel brought it. This measurement relies on the local-storage identifiers described below, not on cookies.

The table above lists every storage entry used on barcelonaluxurycarrental.es. In summary:

• one local-storage entry remembers that the cookie notice has been closed
• one session-storage entry remembers which car was clicked, so the enquiry form can be prefilled, and is deleted when the tab closes or the form is sent
• one local-storage entry holds random visitor and session identifiers for our own visit measurement, expiring 30 days after the last visit

None of these entries contains a name, email address, phone number or any other contact detail.

Loading the site triggers two requests to third-party servers, listed in the table above: one to Google Fonts for typefaces, and one to the jsDelivr CDN for the phone-number field used in our enquiry forms. Both providers receive the visitor's IP address simply because that is how any request on the internet works, but neither sets a cookie for us.

The WhatsApp buttons on the site do nothing until a visitor taps them. Tapping records the click (page, referrer, language and prefilled message) in our own booking system, then opens a WhatsApp conversation; WhatsApp itself sets nothing on barcelonaluxurycarrental.es, and the conversation that follows is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not this page.

Any browser lets a visitor inspect, block or delete local storage, session storage and cookies through its settings; doing so will not affect the ability to browse the site or send an enquiry, though the cookie notice may reappear and a prefilled form may be cleared.

We will update this page whenever the storage we use changes. If we ever introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary for the site to work, we will ask for consent first and explain the purpose before any such cookie is set.
