Terms and Conditions – Barcelona Luxury Car Rental

Barcelona Luxury Car Rental operates the website barcelonaluxurycarrental.es, through which we offer luxury and sports car rental in Barcelona, with airport delivery and hotel delivery, and chauffeur services for city transfers and event logistics.

Our fleet spans high-performance supercars, open-top convertibles suited to the coastal road toward Costa Brava, refined luxury SUVs for longer Catalan countryside routes, electric cars and minivans — 89 vehicles in total, with day rates from €210.

These terms apply to all bookings made through the website, by email, phone or WhatsApp. For any question about a booking or these terms, contact [email protected].

No rental is booked, and no payment is taken, directly on the website. A booking is only confirmed once we have issued a written quote and you have accepted it in writing.

To start an enquiry you may:

• fill in the enquiry form on the site (name, email, optional phone, optional chosen car, pick-up and drop-off dates, flight number for airport delivery, and a free-text message);
• write to [email protected];
• call or message us on WhatsApp.

We reply with a written quote stating the car, dates, price, deposit and conditions applicable to your rental. The booking becomes binding on both parties only when we confirm it in writing, by email or WhatsApp, after you have accepted that quote.

Prices shown on the site are indicative, starting from €210 per day, and the final price for your dates and chosen car is confirmed in the written quote. The quote states what is included, such as insurance as described below and the daily mileage allowance.

Airport delivery, hotel delivery and chauffeur services are quoted separately according to the specific request. Extra kilometres, additional drivers, young-driver surcharges where applicable, and any options you request are added to the price shown in the quote.

We do not process payments through the website. Payment terms, the exact deposit amount for your chosen car and the method of payment are set out in the written quote and arranged directly with our team.

A refundable security deposit, from €1,500 to €250,000 depending on the vehicle, is held on a credit card in the main driver's name at handover. The deposit is released within 7 business days after the car is returned, once we have checked for outstanding fines and tolls.

The credit card used for the deposit must be in the name of the main driver named on the booking; cards in a third party's name are not accepted for this purpose.

Because a vehicle is reserved exclusively for your dates, our cancellation terms work as follows:

• free cancellation up to 72 hours before the scheduled pickup;
• 50% of the booking value is charged if you cancel within 72 hours of pickup;
• no refund is given for no-shows.

Under EU consumer law, the general 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to leisure services booked for a specific date, as set out in Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(l), and in Spain in Article 103(l) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. This is why the cancellation tiers above, rather than a statutory withdrawal period, govern changes of mind.

Changes of dates or vehicle after confirmation are treated as a new quote and are subject to availability; any resulting price difference is communicated before you confirm the change.

We may cancel or amend a confirmed booking, offering a full refund or an equivalent alternative vehicle where possible, if:

• adverse weather makes the planned rental unsafe;
• a genuine safety or technical issue affects the reserved vehicle;
• an event of force majeure prevents us from delivering the car as agreed.

In these cases we will contact you as soon as we are aware of the issue and propose the best available alternative or a refund of amounts already paid for the affected rental.

To drive one of our cars, the main driver must:

• be at least 23 years old with a minimum of 2 years' driving experience, or at least 25 years old for vehicles over 500 hp;
• hold a valid driving licence, present a passport or ID, and provide a credit card in their own name at handover;
• carry an International Driving Permit if required for licences issued outside the EU.

Additional drivers must meet the same requirements and be declared before handover.

At handover we check the renter's documents, inspect the vehicle together with the client and record its condition and fuel level. The same checks are repeated at return.

• Multi-day rentals include 300 km per day; kilometres beyond this allowance are charged as stated in the quote.
• The car must be returned with the same fuel level as at handover; any shortfall is charged at cost plus a refuelling service fee.
• Driving abroad, track days and off-road use require our prior written approval.
• Smoking and pets are not permitted in any of our vehicles.

Traffic fines, tolls and parking charges incurred during the rental period are the renter's responsibility. Where such charges are notified to us after the car is returned, we pass them on to the renter together with an administrative fee, and may deduct them from the security deposit before releasing it.

Insurance cover is included as described in the written quote for each booking. In the event of at-fault damage to the vehicle, the renter remains liable for the applicable excess, which may be charged against the security deposit.

The vehicle may only be used for ordinary road travel by the declared driver(s) and must not be:

• driven under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
• used for racing, track days or off-road driving without our prior written approval;
• sub-let, used for commercial transport of passengers or goods, or taken abroad without our prior written approval;
• used for smoking or transporting pets.

Any use outside these terms voids the insurance cover for the incident concerned and makes the renter fully liable for resulting damage.

Our liability toward the client is limited to the proper provision of the rental service described in the written quote and, where applicable, the insurance cover included in it. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as missed travel plans, arising from delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.

You may not copy or reuse this content for commercial purposes without our written consent.

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute arising from a booking made through barcelonaluxurycarrental.es is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Barcelona, Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that may grant the client a different forum.

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services or in applicable law. The version published on the website at the time a booking is confirmed is the one that applies to that booking.
