The controller of the personal data described in this policy is Barcelona Luxury Car Rental, operating the website barcelonaluxurycarrental.es and renting luxury, sports, convertible, SUV, electric and supercar vehicles in Barcelona. We collect the information you choose to give us and a limited amount of technical information generated by your visit.

• Enquiry and airport-delivery forms: name, email address, phone number (optional), the car you are interested in (optional), pick-up and drop-off dates, flight number (airport delivery form only), your free-text message, and the page URL and referrer that led you to send the form.
• Direct contact: anything you tell us by email, phone or WhatsApp when you reach out to discuss availability, pricing or a reservation.
• WhatsApp click records: when you tap a WhatsApp button on the site, we record the page URL, referrer, language and the prefilled message text in our booking system before WhatsApp opens. The conversation that follows takes place on WhatsApp itself, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy, and is not stored on our servers.
• Visit measurement: our own script, served from our domain, records pages viewed, time on page, referring website, campaign parameters contained in the link, device type, browser, operating system, screen size, browser language and the country derived from your IP address; the IP address itself is not stored. If you send an enquiry or tap a WhatsApp or phone link, that action is linked to the same visit so we know which channel brought your request.
• Server logs: our hosting provider's standard logs record IP address, time, requested page and browser for a short period, for security purposes only.
• Browser storage: a local-storage entry remembers that you closed the cookie notice; a session-storage entry remembers which car you clicked on so the enquiry form can be prefilled, and is deleted when the tab closes or the form is sent; a local-storage entry holds random visitor and session identifiers used for visit measurement, expiring 30 days after your last visit and removable at any time through your browser. None of these entries contains contact details, and the site does not set cookies of its own.

We use the information from your enquiry or conversation to answer your request, prepare a written quote and, if you confirm, arrange your rental. This processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform the rental contract once confirmed.

We record WhatsApp click details and visit-measurement data to understand how visitors reach us and to keep the site and our replies efficient; this rests on our legitimate interest in running and securing the website and responding promptly, which does not override your own rights given the limited, non-identifying nature of this data.

We keep booking records, and ask for driving-licence and identity details, because tax, accounting and civil liability rules applicable to vehicle rental require us to document who drove the car and under what contract; this processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

Quotes exchanged by email, phone or WhatsApp are not paid or finalised on the website; a booking only becomes final once we confirm it in writing. At handover of the vehicle in Barcelona, or at the agreed airport or hotel delivery point, we require your driving licence and identification document details. We need this information to verify that you are legally entitled to drive the car, to complete the rental agreement, and to meet our obligations to insurers and to the authorities in the event of a claim, fine or accident.

Access to your data is limited to people and services who need it to deliver the rental you have requested.

• Our own team, who read enquiries forwarded through our internal messaging tool so that we can reply quickly.
• The captain or driver who prepares or performs the service once a booking is confirmed, who receives the details strictly needed to carry out the handover or chauffeur service.
• Our hosting provider, which stores the website and the booking system and keeps standard security logs.
• Google, through the Google Fonts service used to display the site's typography; loading a font causes your browser to contact Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
• jsDelivr, the content-delivery network from which the phone-number field in our forms loads the intl-tel-input library.
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to start a conversation with us through the WhatsApp button; that exchange is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not by this one.

We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we do not use it to take automated decisions about you.

Our hosting, booking system and internal messaging tool are used to run a Barcelona-based business and are not used to export your data beyond what is described here. Google Fonts and the jsDelivr CDN are operated by providers with infrastructure outside the European Economic Area, so loading our pages may involve a transfer of your IP address to them; such providers are required under the GDPR to offer appropriate safeguards for any such transfer. If you contact us through WhatsApp, Meta likewise may process your conversation outside the EEA under its own policy and safeguards, over which we have no control.

Enquiries that do not lead to a confirmed booking are deleted after 36 months. Records relating to a confirmed booking, including the driving-licence and identity details collected at handover, are kept for as long as Spanish tax and accounting rules require us to retain commercial documentation. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes only. The local-storage identifier used for visit measurement expires automatically 30 days after your last visit.

We limit access to enquiry and booking records to the people described above, rely on a hosting provider to keep the site and booking system running securely, and keep server logs only briefly and only for security monitoring. We do not send marketing emails unless you have specifically asked us to.

You may ask us to confirm whether we hold data about you, to access it, to correct inaccurate details, to have it erased, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive the data you gave us in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]; we may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on the request, and we will respond within one month.

If you believe your data has not been handled properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.

Our rental service is intended for adults who are legally entitled to hire and drive a vehicle, and the website is not directed at children; we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

We may update this policy if our services, tools or legal obligations change. The version published on barcelonaluxurycarrental.es at the time of your visit or enquiry is the one that applies.
